Dieting but not losing.

I think I have discovered why dieting to lose weight doesn't work for me. I apparently do it the same as yarn dieting, and new project dieting. IE not very well. I did have a grand adventure at Schaefer Yarns. Please check my Blog for the yarn porn.
But...on a bright shiny note, I did finished something from the list! Anniversary socks for the Adored One! Now, I plan to log off before I have to explain other Project Perfidy.

Things keep getting finished, but the list is not getting smaller...go figure

1. Print O'The Wave Shawl from Eunny, in Kidsilk Haze, mossy green.

2. A Cardigan for my stepfather for Christmas, Filati Magazine Special Men, Model number 35, the Material is Lana Grossa Pulcino (discontinued) in chocolate brown.

3. A sweater for my brother for Christmas, Filati Magazine Special Men, Model number 12/2. The original yarn called for is Lana Grossa Numero Uno Tweed. I have changed it to Cool Wool Big (100% Merino), since I made him a sweater in the Tweed a couple of years ago.

4. A sweater for the love of my life, after Interweave The Ultimate Gift. I chose Yorkshire Tweed 4ply from Rowan in a lovely dark red instead of the cashmere. All seamed, just the collar left to finish. Done

5. Sunrise Circle Jacket in Alpaca Sport, 100% Alpaca. The color is a dark aubergine. This one is for me. All pieces finished. Needs blocking, sewing together.

6. Ruffles Scarf (Amanda Blair Brown) out of Scarf Style, in Lana Grossa Cool Wool 2000 print, color 725. This one is for Cathy for Christmas. So far, about 42" are knit.

7. Berlin Bag (original design from me). 100% Wool from Dyed in the Wool in England, in cream and tan, aran weight. This one is for me. I just need to finish the handles and then felt it and insert the lining. Oh... and publish the pattern for sale!

8. Shedir (Knitty.com Breastcancer awareness special edition) out of Lana Grossa Numero Uno Tweed, left over from the sweater I made for my brother two years ago. (Stashbusting!) Half done.

9. Pomatomus socks in Lana Grossa Meilenweit Boot Sock soft color. Done, and my mother loves wearing them.

10. Beaudelaire socks in Regia sock 4ply, color 315 (burgundy). Done

11. Faroese shawl - out of "A Gathering of Lace" - with 100% 3ply lambswool on needles 3.25mm (it will end up the smaller size). The color is a nice dark grey. Done

15. ISE3 Scarf, 100% Merino Wool, Lana Grossa, pattern out of Scarf Style, Done and sent off.

16. Beaudelaire Socks, pair 2, Regia 4ply, burgundy Done

17. Rib of Doom socks, yarn from yarnpirate at etsy, 100% Merino, one finished, one just started, for the man in my life. Done

18. Sock of Doom for Sockwars, in 100% Alpaca in purple. Done

19. Sock of Doom II for second target, started from scratch again. Rowan DK Wool in Chocolate. Done

20. Jaywalkers, Gedifra Fashion Trend Sportivo, 1 done, 1 just past turning the heel.

21. Bayerische (Eunny) started and frogged, didn't get gauge, ordered 2mm DPN's to try again

Future projects: The "Deep V Argyle Vest" from Eunny, RPM socks, Argyle Socks, Bavarian Socks and Chuck's Cabled Socks (all from Eunny) and Twisted Cable Socks from the new Knitty. Now to finish my stepdad's Cardigan. After that it's the Print of the Wave scarf to be finished and once the Jaywalkers are done, my brothers sweater will go to the office with me. The pattern is rather mindless and therefore a good knit when one might be interrupted any time. The socks will just run alongside everything, LOL
